전주에서 본 <괴물들이 사는 나라>가 마음에 박혀 계속 울린다. 영화 OST를 계속해서 듣다가 예고편에 쓰였던 Arcade Fire의 "wake up"이라는 노래를 알게 되었다. 아름답고 슬프면서도, 그것들의 힘을 가지고 있는 노래다. If the children don't grow up, Our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up. We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms, turnin' every good thing to rust. 침대에 누워도 쉽게 잠이 오질 않는다. 마음을 둥 둥 울리는 드럼소리와, 함성, 괴물들과 max의 외로움이 어지럽게 떠오른다. 중간고사를 볼 때는 미친듯이 책이 읽고 싶고 글을 쓰고 싶었는데, 지금은 무엇도 할 마음이 안 생긴다. 마음은 어디에도 매일 마음이 없다.
